When we talk about communication, we tend to thing about talking. Sure, when you want to tell members of your organisation about something then talking is really helpful. But more importantly a listening leader has far more impact. In this course we will examine the power of listening and how to listen with your eyes and your ears to understand the situation to help you consider the best way to get buy in. We will consider how to develop emotional intelligence and how to use the counselling technique of reflecting back to clarify understanding. As a leader we want to get our point across and so we will see how Transactional Analysis can help us and we will also examine the power of speaking last to bring wisdom, authority and buy in.
